Generally, Botox and Dysport last about three months. However, it depends on how active you are. People who regularly work out may break down their product quicker than others. In some cases, Botox may last a little longer than Dysport, while Dysport may kick in faster than Botox.

Can you work out or lay down after getting Botox/Dysport?

No! To make sure the product stays in place, we ask that you avoid working out for at least 24 hours after your treatment and avoid laying down for a few hours after.

Do Botox/Dysport treatments need to be done by an MD?

No. As long as the nurse is certified and trained on the product, they can perform the service. All nurses at Skin Code LA are trained and certified.

Can I get Botox/Dysport after getting vaccinated?

Accepted Answer

No, you have to wait at least two weeks after vaccination to avoid severe swelling.

Is aftercare needed for Botox/Dysport?

Avoid touching the area, strenuous exercise, and alcohol for at least six hours after treatment. We recommend applying an ice pack immediately after treatment to reduce swelling. You may wash the treated area four hours after your session.

Do Botox injections cause any side effects?

No. Botox treatments are completely safe and quickly work to reduce the visible signs of aging. In fact, given the temporary effect of Botox, if you are not happy with the results, then they will be reversed in around three months following treatment.
