LASER HAIR REMOVAL

PRE & POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Redness, bumps, and mild burning sensations may last 2-24 hours but can persist up to 3 days after treatment. 

  • Hypo/Hyperpigmentation may occur post-treatment. In clients with facial hirsutism who have been diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome and are presenting ovarian hyperandrogenism, are at risk of paradoxical effect resulting from the activation of dormant hair follicles in untreated areas close to hirsute-treated areas.

WHAT TO DO BEFORE THE TREATMENT

  • Avoid using deodorant for 24 hours after the treatment. 

  • Avoid picking at the skin in the treated areas. 

  • Avoid tanning for at least 4-6 weeks before or after the treatment. 

  • Avoid engaging in rigorous exercise, hot baths, or showers for 24 hours after your treatment. 

  • Avoid any additional laser treatments for chemical procedures on or around the treated area for at least 14 days. 

  • Avoid tweezing or waxing between treatments.

  • Avoid shaving for 14 days after your treatment.

CARE OF TREATED AREA

  • Apply ice packs, Aloe Gel, or hydrocortisone to the treated area if redness or burning occurs. 

  • Use Sunscreen SPF 30 or higher. 

  • Clean the area twice a day gently with mild soap and water. 

  • In the summertime, it is extremely vital to apply sunblock to treated areas, as exposure to sunlight is heightened.
